Great food, friendly service, and amazing value. Every dish was fresh and delicious, the staff was attentive, and the prices were more than fair. A hidden gem worth visiting again.

I literally cannot fault this place. The food was to die for. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was beautiful. True authentic Italian 10/10 would recommend and I'm definitely going to going back myself.

Ate here on Saturday evening table for 4 was a very good tasty meal and no complaints. We were shown to our table by the italian lady who I think was the owner as we later found out her husband was the chef. She explained food may take a little longer as he was on his own in the kitchen which didn't bother us. I love to have fresh mussels when I can and had them after a bit of good spirited banter from the host. They were amazing large portion with chunky mussels. Our mains was excellent too definitely go again and would recommend, just don't ask if they have a special board (which they dont have by the way)and then pick lasagna unless you want some feedback delivered in truly italian style haha.

Booked this little restaurant and that was not a mistake. It was busy with a couple of hours waiting for a table if you had not. The menu is extensive. The portions are massive the service and staff are polite quick and efficient. Do not miss this if in the area. Remember to book.

A lovely little Italian in the heart of the quaint village. The garlic bread was divine. The bolognese pizza did not disappoint. A strong pizza crust and generous bolognese portions 5/5 for me! We will return

We read reviews of both here and Rossini’s in Amble when deciding where to eat once we decided on Italian. Let’s just say that Rossini’s reviews, although entertaining, made it an easy choice. And glad we did visit La Famiglia. The food was tasty and filling. Both the pizza and the seafood pasta really hit the mark. And very reasonably priced. No complaints at all. Certainly worth a visit if in Amble.
